When coming to the Royal Exchange, we want to make your visit as enjoyable and informative as possible; even before you leave your own home!
Before your visit:
Eating and drinking at the Royal Exchange is a dramatic affair. A stylish restaurant, a continental style cafe and welcoming bars - all set with the backdrop of the spectacular Great Hall and Theatre module - offer city centre visitors and theatre goers something truly unique.
So why not make your visit extra special and book a table in The Round restaurant for a spot of lunch or dinner? Open from 12 noon for lunch and for pre-theatre dining from 5pm. Call 0161 615 6666 to reserve your table or use our new online reservation system!
If your time is limited but you still fancy a quick snack beforehand, why not purchase a light bite from the Great Hall cafe? Or relax with friends over a delicious hot beverage or alcoholic drink at Bar Exchange.
And to plan your journey in full, the running times for the shows (where known) are located on each show page. Simply select the event you're attending in our What's On section.
We're situated in the heart of Manchester City Centre, so it can be easy to get a little lost when it comes to finding us (or a parking space). So whether you're walking, coming via public transport or driving, we've put together a handy list of instructions of how to get to us whatever the method.
And if you are driving, check out our discounted parking, available at two NCP car parks located within 5 minutes of the Royal Exchange
As we are city centre based, we recommend you check out what other events are happening in case this delays your journey. You can do this by checking Visit Manchester's wesbite.
We've also put together a handy list of accessible information, including information for people with mobility restrictions, for blind and visually impaired people and for deaf and hearing impaired people.
We have also created this useful tool to aid people in creating your own social stories - a brilliant resource if you are considering a visit to our theatre with someone with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders).
(A Social Story™ describes a situation, skill, or concept in terms of relevant social cues, perspectives, and common responses in a specifically defined style and format. The goal of a Social Story™ is to share accurate social information in a patient and reassuring manner that is easily understood by its audience. More Information...)
