The fiery retelling of Shakespeare’s most famous love story ROMEO & JULIET opens on Friday 20 Oct. Directed by Nicholai La Barrie, this contemporary version is a love-letter to Manchester, a celebration of youth, love and aspiration.
Theatre and film director Nicholai La Barrie makes his Royal Exchange Theatre debut with this fiery retelling of Shakespeare’s most famous love story ROMEO & JULIET.
Taking on the role of Romeo is Manchester actor Conor Glean last seen at the Exchange in MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN. He’s joined by TV actress Shalisha James-Davis as Juliet, who is perhaps best known to TV audiences for her recent year-long role as Paige Alcott in the long-running BBC drama CASUALTY. Let’s see if Paige (our Juliet) can use her emergency unit skills to help fix our Romeo’s broken heart!
