During EldersFest there are different ways that older people can join in. We are hosting a number of creative sessions led by theatre professionals.

Activity Session 1 & 2: Saturday 28 September, 11.15am and repeated at 2.15pm

Switch_MCR: Making and Devising Ensemble and Group performances

As part of EldersFest we’re delighted to be hosting Switch_MCR to lead one of their unique Lab events, which will explore approaches to making and devising ensemble and group performances.

The Lab will be repeated in the afternoon so you only need to book onto one session.

Writing Older Characters for Stage

Join playwright and poet, Amanda Dalton to explore developing short plays that include authentic older characters at their heart.


Activity Session 5: Monday 30 September, 2.15pm

Puppetry Performance Skills

Join Alison Duddle, a puppet and mask designer, maker and director, to learn more about puppetry.

This fun and practical session will include opportunities to practice puppetry performance skills.

No experience is necessary just come and have a go!


Activity Session 6: Tuesday 1 October, 11.15am

Music Makers

Join composer and musical director Tayo Akinbode in a fun music-making session.

No experience is necessary and any older person can take part.
