Welcome to Cheetham Hill and Crumpsall where we've worked with local communities since 2018
Between 2018 and 2024, we worked in partnership with the Cheetham Hill and Crumpsall communities to develop key partnerships, run creative workshops, make beautiful work such as the UP THE HILL audio-plays. Central to our work were the 12-strong Local Exchange Ambassador team who helped shape and deliver a festival in our mobile-theatre, the Den.
In the summer of 2022 we held a community arts festival at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Cheetham Hill. For two weeks the Den, our unique pop-up theatre, hosted a wide variety of events from family fun-days to community shows, theatre, dance and visual art.
Local Exchange Ambassadors led a legacy programme celebrating and centring local stories and voices, creating OUR M8 – a group celebrating local stories through free storytelling and playwriting projects.
