Our Arts Pot campaign has come to an end, and we have raised a grand total of £27,922.19, smashing our £15,000 target!
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported 10 years of Arts Pot!
This makes 2022/23 our biggest total for Arts Pot to date, and it’s all thanks to those who tapped their cards, donated online and dropped their coins in our buckets.
Anything beyond our target of £15,000 will enable the Arts Pot to go further, supporting our work with schools and colleges.
Schools audiences have always been so important to us at the Royal Exchange Theatre. In Autumn 2019, 1208 students and teachers came to see Light Falls. This amounted to a total of 26 different schools/colleges attending. In Autumn 2022, 891 students and teachers came to see The Glass Menagerie which was a total of 33 different schools!
At the moment, schools and parents are finding it increasingly difficult to pay for school trips, which means that currently only those who can afford the tickets have the opportunity to attend our productions.
An additional £5,000 would allow 125 students to attend one of our productions. The funding would cover their tickets, coach costs or travel for those who most need it, to ensure more young people can experience the joy of live theatre!
