The 'M11 Photography Exhibition' was our open call-out for photos capturing M11 for the East Manchester Community Festival.

Summer 2023 we brought East Manchester Community Festival to Beswick, Openshaw and Clayton. We asked for photos that showed life in M11 and what that means to you.

Thank you to everyone who submitted their photos for the exhibition, they featured as part of our festival as a permanent exhibition and really highlighted some of the stories within the community.

Submission Guidelines:

No previous experience in photography is necessary, this exhibition is open to submissions from people of all ages. We are accepting images taken on all cameras, whether they are DLSR, film or from a phone. It’s not about the quality of the camera, it’s about the image you capture.

  • Only submit 5 photographs maximum.
  • Add a title and 20-word description for each photo.
  • Photos cannot display drug use, nudity, or any type of illegal activity.
  • You must either live, work or have a connection with M11 to submit.
  • We will accept any size of photograph.
  • Competition closing date is July 19th 2023.
